Marilyn Ann Spencer
WINDHAM, N.H. – Marilyn Ann Spencer, 87, of Windham, N.H., passed away peacefully and comfortably Tuesday Dec. 23, 2025, at Grace House in Windham, N.H., after a period of declining health.
Marilyn was born Feb. 15, 1938, in Manchester, N.H. and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Gilmartin) Charron. She was raised in Wellesley, Mass. and Madison, Maine, where she graduated from Madison High School.
After high school Marilyn trained as an X-Ray technician and worked at Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan. Later, she held administrative assistant positions at The Morning Sentinel in Waterville, and Franklin Hospital in Farmington, all while raising five children.
Marilyn and her husband spent winters for many years in Lakeland, Fla., where she sang in a women’s quartet group, The Tee Tones, and played piano to accompany many choral groups. She loved to be involved in anything musical, whether singing, playing piano, or as part of the handbell choir at her church in Wilton. She also loved to spend time with her family, especially the family Christmas parties, where she would play piano for everyone to sing carols.
Marilyn is survived by three sons, Garry (Deborah) Spencer, Ivan K. (Lisa) Spencer, III, Dean Spencer, daughter, Susan (Jason) Plante; and brother, William Charron. Her large family also included 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Ivan K. Spencer, Jr. in September of 2022; and her daughter, Sandy (Bruce) Cowan in March of 2024.
Following cremation, private services will be planned by the family for a later date.
