Robert W. Smith
WINTHROP – Robert W. Smith, 91, of Winthrop, died Dec. 23, 2025, in his home after a long illness. He was born in Readfield to Donald C. Smith and Phyllis A. (Merrill) Fogg on Aug. 14, 1934.
He is survived by his loving wife Carmen R (Levesque) Smith; daughter Cathy (Cindy) of Omaha, Neb., son, Mark (Terri) of Winslow, daughter, Valerie of Winthrop; granddaughter, Jessica Peasak (Tyler) of West Virginia; and his great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, on Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at the same location. A military committal service will be held in the spring.
