The Maine State Police are investigating the death of a 1-year-old who was found unresponsive Sunday morning at a home in Milford.
Authorities said there is no danger to the public and did not immediately provide further details about the toddler’s death, including whether the death is considered suspicious.
Under state law, Maine State Police investigate all deaths of children under 3 years old.
Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine State Police, declined on Monday to comment on the investigation.
