Bangor Christian snapped Valley’s 30-game winning streak by prevailing in a tightly contested battle of unbeaten girls basketball teams, 76-73, in Bingham.

Mary Allen scored 36 points for Bangor Christian (9-0), which made 24 of its 33 free-throw attempts. Reese Starbird added 20 points.

Valley (8-1), which lost for the first time since falling to Southern Aroostook in the 2024 Class D final, got 16 points from Liana Hartwell, 15 from Kirsten Bigelow and 14 from Delia Hill.

BUCKFIELD 39, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 31: Sarae Devoe scored eight of her 16 points in the third quarter, and the Bucks (7-1) beat the Mustangs (2-5) in Buckfield.

Taylor Harvey added eight points.

Kaitlyn Frost recorded 14 points for Monmouth.

WELLS 64, WINTHROP 20: The Warriors (5-2) opened the game with a 25-0 run against the Ramblers (5-2) in Wells.

Megyn Mertens led the Warriors with 21 points. Payton Fazzina and Eva Talevi each added 12. Fazzina also had eight assists and seven steals.

LAWRENCE 65, MEDOMAK VALLEY 44: Maddie Provost made seven 3-pointers and finished with 37 points to lead the Bulldogs (6-1) past the Panthers (2-5) in Fairfield.

Ashley Shores chipped in with 15 points.

Chloe Fox had 21 points and Anna Reed scored 10 for Medomak Valley.

MCI 47, WATERVILLE 42: Three players scored in double figures for the Huskies (1-7) as they beat the Panthers (1-7) in Pittsfield.

Caitlyn Hamilton tallied 15 points, Bella Barkac-Girroir added 13 and Charlotte Peasley had 12 for MCI.

Danikah Harrison scored 11 points for Waterville.

JOHN BAPST 45, MESSALONSKEE 41: Stella Goetz scored 20 points, and the Crusaders (4-5) held off the Eagles (1-7) in Oakland.

Leah Adams led Messalonskee with 12 points and 20 rebounds. Addie Hafford added 11 points.

MT. ABRAM 81, TELSTAR 12: Five players scored in double digits for the Roadrunners (5-2) in a win over the Rebels (1-6) in Salem Township.

Evelyn Pepin finished with 14 points, Jenna Osgood chipped in with 13, Autumn Emery and Stella Peterson each scored 11, and Abigal McCarty tossed in 10.

FOREST HILLS 65, RANGELEY 29: Jaxson Desjardins scored 22 points, and Maddox Cuddy and Aaden Nadeau each added 13 for the Tigers (7-2) against the Lakers (1-7) in Jackman.

Sam Morrill led Rangeley with 11 points.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 63, WINSLOW 39: Dylan Jewett and Owen Kelvey each scored 14 points for the Phoenix (6-2) in a win over the Raiders (3-4) in Winslow.

Austin Armandi chipped in with 11 points and Cai Dougher scored 10.

Jack Flaherty led Winslow with 17 points.

OAK HILL 58, SACOPEE VALLEY 46: Braden New scored 22 points, and the Raiders (3-4) fought off a second-half comeback by the Hawks (6-2) in Hiram.

Oak Hill led 32-19 at halftime, but Sacopee went on a 12-0 run in the third quarter. The Raiders regained control, however, and pulled away in the fourth.

PJ Smith contributed 13 points for Oak Hill, and Keeghan Morrissette sank four 3-pointers for 12 points.

Cooper Berkowitz led the Hawks with 16 points. Payton Young finished with four 3-pointers and 14 points.

WELLS 55, WINTHROP 39: Kevin Bolduc scored 18 points as the Warriors (3-4) beat the Ramblers (3-5) in Winthrop.

Aiden Collins added 12 points.

MT. BLUE 54, OXFORD HILLS 42: The Cougars (5-2) were 17 for 20 at the free-throw line in the second half as they pulled away from the Vikings (2-6) in Paris.

Simon Thomas scored 14 points, and Cooper Abell and Evan Drake both had 13 for Mt. Blue.

Jackson Stack led Oxford Hills with 22 points. Cam Pulkkinen finished with 14.

MADISON 78, LISBON 51: Tyshawn Hall and Jacob Linkletter each finished with a double-double for the Bulldogs (5-2) in a win over the Greyhounds (4-3) in Madson.

Hall recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Linkletter had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Brayden Furbush chipped in with 13 points and Davyn Nichols scored 12.

Jaxson Roy-Thompson led Lisbon with 18 points. Owen Hurd dropped in 10.

VALLEY 65, PISCATAQUIS 52: Fisher Tewksbury led the Cavaliers (8-1) with 19 points in a win over the Pirates (5-3) in Bingham.

Harry Louis added 17 points. Collin Nichols finished with 13.

Brady Gaw scored 27 points for Piscataquis.

GARDINER 56, LINCOLN ACADEMY 55: Trace Moody scored 25 points, and the Tigers (6-1) edged the Eagles (2-5) in Newcastle.

Aidyn Herring put in 17 points and Michael Mitchell had 15 for Lincoln, which nearly overcame a 43-36 deficit entering the fourth quarter.

CONY 96, MARANACOOK 74: Carter Braithwaite scored 24 points to lead the Rams (7-1) over the Black Bears (6-3) in Augusta.

Jackson Kay finished with 18 points, while Jacob Fifield added 17 for Cony.

Gage Mattson led Maranacook with 29 points. Jack Fontaine scored 17 points and Grady Hreben had 12.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 81, LAWRENCE 48: Micah Fagonde scored a season-high 25 points, including six 3-pointers (6-1), as the Panthers rolled past the Bulldogs (1-6) in Waldoboro.

Mason Nguyen added 22 points. Kollin Donlin had 13 rebounds and seven assists.

Keegan Littlefield led Lawrence with 13 points. Miles Provost scored 11 off the bench.

BOYS HOCKEY

PLOG 7, BRUNSWICK/FREEPORT 4: Poland/Leavitt/Gray-NG/Oak Hill (5-1-1) broke open a tie game by scoring four times in the third period to beat Brunswick/Freeport (2-2) at Sid Watson Arena in Brunswick.

Tyler Mates led the Kings with four goals and an assist. Jaxson Booker tallied a goal and four assists, while Luke Lombardi notched a goal and two assists. Charlie Boles also scored.

Ethan Patterson, Cole Bowdich, Nat Rathbone and Samuel Jansson scored for the Dragons.

Logan Rousseau earned the win by making 18 saves. Brunswick/Freeport goalie Michael Shoemaker stopped 30 shots.

THURSDAY’S BOYS HOCKEY

CONY CO-OP 8, GARDINER CO-OP 1: Cooper Clark and Connor Callahan each scored twice for Cony/Monmouth/Erskine/Mt. Blue/Hall-Dale/Maranacook/Spruce Mountain/Winthrop (4-1) in a victory over Gardiner/Waterville/Winslow/Lawrence/Richmond/Wiscasset (1-4) at the Thomas College Ice Vault in Hallowell.

Callahan also had an assist.

Jackson Wing added a goal and two assists, and Spencer Morgan recorded a goal and an assist.

Caleb Morgan made 23 stops in the win. Mike Loubier turned aside 31 shots for the Gardiner co-op, which got a goal from Maddox Lambert.
