Mia Mancini scored 13 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter as Bryant pulled away for an 82-73 win over Maine in an America East women’s basketball game Saturday in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
Mancini got six points during a 14-3 run that turned a 53-51 Maine lead into a 65-56 advantage for Bryant.
The Bulldogs (12-3, 2-0 America East) shot 58.5 percent from the field (31 for 53) and outrebounded Maine 34-22. Bryant’s 82 points were a season high, and the most allowed by the Black Bears (6-9, 1-1) this season.
Adrianna Smith led Maine with 27 points. Sarah Talon scored 15 and Asta Blauenfeldt had 14. The Black Bears, who had a three-winning streak snapped, shot 49.2 percent overall (29 of 59) but made just 2 of 14 3-pointers.
Five players scored in double figures for Bryant. Nia Scott finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.
