Gregory W. Goucher

MOUNT VERNON – Gregory W. Goucher, 73, left us to join his parents in heaven on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025. He fought a hard battle with cancer and won the first part of the war, but the second onset was just too tough.

Greg was born on Jan. 21, 1952, the son of the late Merle L. and Marion E. (White) Goucher. He graduated from Winthrop High School in the class of 1970. He married his wife of 55 years, Cynthia Gray, the same year.

There is nothing Greg loved more than having family gatherings, sitting around with the boys talking trucks and hauling wood. Greg was a good man, a kind man, always willing to help anyone that needed it. His departure has left a hole in all our hearts, but we know he is in a better place now.

Greg was predeceased by a sister, Joan Varney; four brothers, Phil, Stub, Ted and Doug. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; a son, Todd and his wife Christina; a daughter, Tabbi and her partner Tom Ridlon; four grandchildren, Gregory and his wife Katherine, Matthew and his wife Julie, Tyler and his partner Jasmine, Andria and her partner Skylar; four great grandchildren, Nettie, Paisleigh, Lainey and Theo; two sisters, Phyllis Ross and Robin Reed and her husband Skip; a brother Steve and his wife Jeannie; sister in law, Carole Lint and her husband Barry; brother in laws Robin Gray, Pat Gray and his wife Lenita, Mike Gray and his wife Klaudia, and Billy Joe Gray; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Greg’s birthday, Jan. 21, 2026, at the Dunns Corner Baptist Church, 238 Wings Mills Road, Mount Vernon. Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared with family by visiting the Roberts Funeral Home website http://www.KHRFuneralHomes.com.
