Patrick G. Smith Sr.

ATHENS – Patrick G. Smith Sr. of Athens, was born on Dec. 14, 1960, in Pensacola, Florida, to Charles F. Smith and Merium V. (Carnley) Smith. He was a cherished son and a devoted family man. Patrick had a deep passion for the great outdoors and spent countless hours fishing, hunting, and riding his four-wheeler.

He was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Frankie, Becky, Marsha, Patricia, Toby, Robbi, Gigi, and Melody.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne and their children: Jennifer and Donald Giggey, Deanna and Andy Pelley, Patrick Smith Jr. and Teresa, and Kelly Smith. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Lindsay, Tyler, Damon, Nathan, and Collin, his great-grandchildren Hudson and Harrison, and siblings Bonnie and Joe.

We will be holding a celebration of Patrick’s life later in the Spring. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the family and friends who reached out and offered their support during this incredibly difficult time.
