Maine Mariners forward Brooklyn Kalmikov has been selected for the ECHL All-Star Classic for the second straight season.

Kalmikov, now in his third season with the Mariners, is tied for the team lead in scoring with 20 points (five goals, 15 assists).

The all-star game will be played Monday, Jan. 19, in Allen, Texas.

The Mariners also announced Wednesday that they’ve acquired forward Antonio Venuto from the Kalamazoo Wings, completing a previous trade in which Maine dealt the rights to forward Colin Bilek.

Venuto, a rookie pro, recorded five goals and nine assists in 22 games for Kalamazoo this season.
