No matter how we slice it, examine it, segment it or consider it, the Trump administration is a death cult, all manners of death, apathetic and hideously cruel, unfeeling death, and their actions force us to confront our own relationship with different brands of death. Faraway, “indirect ” deaths foisted upon “faceless” millions cannot compete with home-grown torture of children, coupled with the fact that millions of deaths is too daunting to contemplate, so too often we don’t.

The administration reflects our own bias back to us, demonstrating what we are comfortable with in very uncomfortable ways.
