Owen Beale-Tate, Waterville junior, Nordic: Beale-Tate placed 14th in pursuit at the Class B state championships last season. He took second place at the Waterville Sprint Festival on Dec. 13.
Lex Cote, Messalonskee junior, Nordic: Cote is the top returning Nordic skier statewide in Class A. He also teamed up with Noah Oliver to win the Waterville Sprint Festival on Dec. 13.
Nick DeMarco, Mt. Blue junior, Nordic: DeMarco, who teamed up with Damian Wynn for a third-place finish at the Waterville Sprint Festival, will look to take a step up for a team aiming to defend KVAC and Class A state championships.
Sam Hayes, Maranacook senior, Alpine: The Black Bears are the favorites to bring home another MVC Alpine championship, and Hayes, the conference’s No. 3 returner in slalom after finishing sixth last year, is one of their top skiers.
Finn Morton, Mt. Blue junior, Alpine: In Morton, the No. 2 KVAC returner in slalom and the conference’s No. 3 returner in giant slalom, the Cougars have an athlete who has a shot to top the podium in both events.

Noah Oliver, Messalonskee junior, Nordic: The other half of the Eagles’ winning duo at the Waterville Sprint Festival, Oliver will be right there with Lex Cote in Class A as the No. 2 returner statewide.
Tristan Riley, Maranacook junior, Alpine: Riley is Class B’s No. 2 returner statewide in slalom and No. 3 in giant slalom. He’s also the top returner in the MVC in both events.
Sam St. Germain, Winthrop junior, Nordic: The No. 2 returner in the MVC, St. Germain will be a premier Nordic skier at both the conference and state levels this winter.
River Wilkie, Mt. Blue sophomore, Alpine: A Cougars team with no seniors will look to its underclassmen, and in Wilkie, Mt. Blue has the KVAC’s No. 3 returner in slalom as well as one of the league’s top returners in giant slalom.
Damian Wynn, Mt. Blue sophomore, Nordic: Wynn is the No. 2 Nordic returner in the KVAC and will be key to the Cougars’ bid for a fifth consecutive Class A championship.
