Amari Williams scored 12 of his 22 points in the third quarter, fueling a 32-15 surge that carried the Maine Celtics to a 107-102 comeback victory over the Salt Lake City Stars in an NBA G League game Friday night at the Portland Expo.
It was the fourth straight win for Maine, which trailed 64-50 at halftime and was down 71-56 in the third quarter before Williams started a 22-5 run.
The Celtics took the lead for good on a basket by Williams that made it 100-99 with 3:32 remaining. He was 4 for 4 at the free-throw line in the final minute.
Ron Harper Jr., Kendall Brown and Hayden Gray all finished with 13 points for the Celtics. Gray also had 10 assists, seven rebounds and five steals.
John Tonje led the Stars with 27 points and 12 rebounds.
