Jaxson Desjardins scored 27 points and surpassed 1,000 for his career to lift Forest Hills to an 81-60 win over Rangeley in a boys basketball game on Saturday in Rangeley.

Desjardins, a sophomore, joins his brothers Parker and Mason in the 1,000-point club. Jaxson needed 18 points to reach the milestone.

Aaden Nadeau added 24 points and Maddox Cuddy had 12 for Forest Hills (8-3). 

Sam Morrill scored 22 points, while Kaleb Thompson had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Rangeley (1-9). Keegan O’Neil added 10 rebounds. 

BRUNSWICK 61, SKOWHEGAN 43: Rylan Ley and Jonny Porter both scored 12 points and the Dragons (9-2) beat the River Hawks (5-4) in Brunswick. 

Brendan Shaw added eight points, six assists and four steals for Brunswick. Jaxson Thibeault finished with six points and seven rebounds.

Bryson Saucier had 15 points and Jack Fitzpatrick had 11 for Skowhegan. 

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 65, MADISON 43: Cai Dougher scored 16 points and Dylan Jewett added 15 as the Phoenix (8-2) beat the Bulldogs (5-3) in Jay.

Owen Kelvey added 10 points for Spruce Mountain, which won its eighth straight game. 

Tyshawn Hall scored 18 points for Madison. 

MT. BLUE 60, MESSALONSKEE 26: Evan Drake led the Cougars (7-3) with 22 points and Cam Norton finished with 10 points in a win over the Eagles (1-9) in Farmington.

Anderson Arbour paced Messalonskee with 13 points.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 64, RICHMOND 47: Collin Verrill scored 24 points and had four steals as the Breakers (7-1) beat the Bobcats (0-9) in Freeport. 

Lucky Kabeya added 16 points and Rhett Tyson recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds for Pine Tree Academy. 

David Edwards had 11 points and Sully McDaniel 10 for Richmond. 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MADISON 51, BOOTHBAY 23: Nine players scored and the Bulldogs (5-5) beat the Seahawks (4-5) in Madison. 

Jaelyn Rich led Madison with nine points. Emma Anton, Brookelyn Rich, Leah Harper and Jillian Linkletter each added seven.

Eleanor Erwin scored 11 points for Boothbay.

WINTHROP 43, WAYNFLETE 24: Grace Folsom scored 13 points and the Ramblers (7-3) beat the Flyers (2-7) in South Portland. 

Paloma Schair-Cardona scored 17 points for Waynflete. 

MARANACOOK 51, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 13: Celia Bergdahl scored 15 points to lead the Black Bears (8-3) to a win over the Falcons (2-6) in Readfield.

Jackie Clark scored seven points, while Emily Payne and Alice Ferran each added six points for Maranacook.

Madeleine Brown and Kaylynn Washburn each scored four points for Mountain Valley.

BOYS HOCKEY

MESSALONSKEE 6, PRESQUE ISLE/CARIBOU/C. AROOSTOOK/WISDOM 3: Denny Martin and Alex Beckwith both had a goal and two for the Eagles (5-2) in a win over Presque Isle/Caribou/Central Aroostook/Wisdom (4-3) at Alfond Rink in Waterville.

Liam McFadden, Christian Salvardori and Logan Baron each added a goal and an assists for Messalonskee. Tatum Docette also scored.

Gavin LeTourneau had a goal and two assists for the Presque Isle co-op, while Oliver Woollard scored and added an assist. Kamden Daigle also scored.

Nathan Kirk turned aside 17 shots for Messalonskee and Ethan Bosse made 36 saves for the Presque Isle co-op.
