Brad Arvanitis made 33 saves to earn the shutout as the Maine Mariners extended their winning streak to three games with a 2-0 win over the Reading Royals in an ECHL game Saturday in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Sebastian Vidmar scored early in the second period with an assist from James Marooney to give Maine the lead. Linus Hemstrom made it 2-0 in the third period with an assist from Xander Lamppa.
Yaniv Perets made 30 saves for Reading.
The Mariners will try to sweep the three-game series on Sunday.
