Falmouth High School football coach Spencer Emerson announced on social media Monday that he has stepped down after leading the program for two years.
The Navigators were 17-4 under Emerson. In his first season, he guided them to a 11-0 record and the 2024 Class B title, the school’s first football state championship. They went 6-4 this fall and reached the B South semifinals. Falmouth was the only team to beat Class B champ Westbrook.
“Thank you to the entire Falmouth community for the trust and support you showed me and my family,” Emerson wrote on X. “I’ll be forever changed by my time at Falmouth.”
Emerson is a 2011 Edward Little High School graduate who was Poland Regional High School’s head coach in 2018-19. He’s also served as the offensive coordinator at the University of Chicago and as an assistant at Georgetown University, Bates College, and Lewiston and Old Town high schools.
