‘Something Wonderful’

Good Theater presents the Maine premiere of “Something Wonderful” by George Dvorsky. The show features a mix of songs and storytelling from Dvorsky’s 45-year career that includes Broadway, film, television, recordings and concert performances around the globe. He’ll be accompanied by Good Theater’s music director Victoria Stubbs. You can expect to hear tunes from the Great American Songbook along with songs that capture the essence of American film and entertainment.

Adam Ray

Comic Adam Ray is known for many things, including his impersonation of Dr. Phil, his “About Last Night” podcast and countless appearances on TV shows and films. His resume includes “The Barbie Movie,” Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Hacks.” Expect a raucous night of entertainment from the Seattle-born funnyman.

Former Mainer and current Rhode Islander Ray Harrington got his start in the Portland comedy scene. A pair of homecoming shows are this weekend. Harrington has appeared on “Conan,” his film “Be A Man” premiered on Hulu and his “Overwhelmed” album debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard comedy charts. Expect quick punchlines and big-time audience connection.

MLK Day Celebration Concert

Portland-based singing group Sea Change Chorale presents a concert celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the eve of the holiday honoring him. The chorus will be performing a program called Songs and Courage For Our Times.

On A Winter’s Night

You’ve got two opportunities to see four well-known singer-songwriters performing together. On A Winter’s Night features Cliff Eberhardt, John Gorka, Lucy Kaplansky and Patty Larkin. The show promises to be rich with storytelling and collaborations, as they’re all on stage together, acoustic guitars in hand. Folk singer Christine Lavin launched the On A Winter’s Night shows in the mid 1990s to showcase a rotating roster of Americana and folk artists. This reunion tour is not to be missed.
