I’m writing to point out that President Trump’s pivot to his “Don-Roe” doctrine, whereby he claims that the U.S. must dominate North, Central and South America, makes him a classic example of a cowardly bully.
Trump does not have the intestinal fortitude, courage or intelligence to confront “the big boys” (Russia and China). He knows that if he does, he will lose. Therefore, he is ceding Russia and China’s “spheres of influence” to them, and focusing on what he calls America’s own “sphere of influence,” where he thinks he can threaten and win against weaker states.
The United States must get back to its role as a global leader, and we must confront the threats posed by China and Russia to world peace and stability. This can only happen if Trump is removed from office by political and constitutional methods. We need to elect leaders who can repair the incredible damage that this man and his administration has done to our democracy and our position in the world order.
