Maine faces a consequential choice about the kind of future we want. The next governor will shape our prosperity, safety and democratic values at a moment when they feel under strain. That is why I’m proud to support Hannah Pingree for governor.
Hannah is a proven leader with deep Maine roots and a clear understanding of what this moment demands. As former speaker of the Maine House, she delivered results by bringing people together while staying grounded in her values. In a time of national chaos and division, Maine needs a governor who is steady, bold and ready to lead.
Maine is the most forested state in the nation, with a working coastline, clean lakes and rural communities whose livelihoods depend on land and water. Hannah understands that conservation and economic opportunity move forward together, and she has spent her career fighting for both.
That leadership was recognized when the Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund endorsed Hannah, the first time they have made an endorsement in a gubernatorial primary. The decision reflects confidence in Hannah’s ability to build broad coalitions while standing firm on her priorities.
Hannah’s vision connects affordability, health care access, strong public schools, housing and climate resilience into a single agenda focused on working people and local communities. She is also backed by Speaker Ryan Fecteau and over 100 current and former Maine elected officials.
I am proud to support Hannah Pingree in the Democratic primary and hope others will join me. Maine’s future is worth it.
