AUGUSTA – Rose Marie St. Onge, 66, passed away on Jan. 8, 2026, due to complications from diabetes. She will be remembered for her big heart, warmth, and the care she showed to everyone around her.
Born on Dec. 8, 1959, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Rose devoted herself to her family and others, often putting their needs before her own. She had a remarkable ability to make a difference in the lives of those she met and gave endlessly of herself to ensure the happiness of her children and loved ones. Rose also had a keen eye for design and landscaping, finding joy in creating beauty wherever she could.
Her greatest joy was her family and the people she loved. She is survived by her sons, Jeremy St. Onge and his spouse Kim, and Adam St. Onge and his spouse Christina; her brother, Paul Fournier and his wife Patricia; her six beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Parker, Anderson, Ayla, Bryce, and Emery; her biological mother, Yvette Bosse; her siblings; her close friend, Mark Doyon, and Janice Lake, her dear and lifelong friend; and many other friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins whose lives were touched by her love and care.
A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallowell, with burial to follow in the spring.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to MaineGeneral, especially Dr. Aldilaimi, Dr. Dunn, and her favorite nurse, Jen, for the compassionate care and support provided at Kidney Care.
