Staged reading of ‘Fundraiser’

Mad Horse Theatre presents a staged reading of a play by company member Brent Askari. “Fundraiser” is a comedy of questionable manners centered on two couples attending a school fundraiser together. Vaulted secrets are spilled during 90 minutes of sharp-witted dialogue. The readers are company members Joe Bearor, Marie Stewart Harmon and Nick Schroeder, along with guest artist Casey Turner.

Dueling Pianos

For an invigorating night of classic rock, pop hits, throwback oldies and audience requests, head to the Franco Center’s lower level lounge for Dueling Pianos. Pianists Amy Thomason and Billy Ward will be tickling 176 keys during a performance that’s been brought back to the Franco Center by popular demand.

Forbidden Broadway: Merrily We Stole a Song

For a sassy, satirical night of Broadway tunes with a hilarious twist, head to Sanford. “Forbidden Broadway: Merrily We Stole a Song” is a new version of a long-running musical roast of songs from “The Outsiders,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Wicked” and “Six,” among several others. All told, 31 musicals are skewered over the course of a 90-minute musical extravaganza.

The Fab Four: Tribute to The Beatles

The Fab Four is a nationally touring tribute to The Beatles, and their Maine performance will feature all the hits, including the entire soundtrack to the “Help” film. You can expect to hear songs like “You’re Going to Lose That Girl,” “Yesterday” and “Ticket to Ride.” Find your coat and grab your hat, and jump on getting tickets.
