Camden Hills has reclaimed the No. 1 ranking in the Varsity Maine boys basketball poll after dropping down to No. 2 last week. The Windjammers remain unbeaten (12-0) after earning three double-digit wins over the past week. The No. 1 ranking has changed in all five polls this winter. This is Camden Hills’ second time at the top.

Windham, which is on an 11-game win streak, moves up a spot to No. 2. The Eagles received two first-place votes. South Portland (No. 4) also gains a spot in the rankings after dealing last week’s No. 1, Sanford, its first loss of the season last Tuesday. The Spartans are now third.

Brunswick (sixth) and Gardiner (seventh) swapped places, while Cony and Lake Region join this week’s rankings.


The Varsity Maine boys basketball poll is based on games played before Jan. 20, 2026. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
