Kenenth F. Wallace
FARMINGTON – Recently, Kenneth F. Wallace passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Ken was born to Lorraine and Melville Wallace and lived his entire life in Mercer, Maine. He married the love of his life, Jane Gould, and they spent 58 years lovingly building their family together. Ken was extremely proud of his two daughters Amy Wallace Edwards and Julie Wallace. He was always there to support them in any way that they needed him. Ken adored his two grandchildren, Emily and Wyatt Edwards. He was a constant presence in their lives, attending all of their school events, spending time at the lake with them, and was always eager to hear all of their stories. Ken graduated from SMTC. He was a passionate NASCAR fan. He loved antique cars and owned several, including his favorite ’48 Chevy. He proudly operated Ken’s Service Station for 35 years. Living and working in the same community his whole life, Ken had a big impact on the lives of many people. He had quite a sparkle to him and people often opened up to him to talk through important things in their lives. He had a great sense of humor and was known for injecting just the right “one-liner” into a conversation to give a chuckle to the group. Ken will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Jane, daughters Amy (partner Fritz Hastings) and Julie, grandchildren Emily (partner Jacob Mascioli) and Wyatt (partner Samantha Goldsmith), bonus grandchild, Abbey Danforth, brother Gary Wallace (wife Elaine), sister-in-law Patricia Libby (husband and dear friend, Steve) sister-in-law Donna (Jim) Gould, sister-in-law Donna (Andy) Gould, brother-in-law Tim Gould (wife Joni), brother-in-law Ron Gould, and so many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Lorraine and Melville Wallace, mother and father-in-law Dorothy and John Gould, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Roxie Wallace (and their son, Ryan), brother-in-law Jim Gould, brother-in-law Andy Gould, son-in-law Bob Edwards, and dear friend Timmy Holt. At Ken’s request, there will be no formal service. The family may host an informal open house this summer. Details to follow.
