These are difficult times that require a strong advocate in Congress. As a native of “The County” and raised in the 2nd Congressional District, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to endorse state Sen. Joe Baldacci’s candidacy for Congress. Joe is a fighter on affordability issues, including access to reasonable health care, an affordable place to live and the rights of all Americans to the American dream.

In my lifetime, I truly cannot think of a more significant midterm election than the one that is coming up this November. I have known Joe Baldacci for nearly 50 years and believe him to be a dedicated public servant and strong advocate for the concerns, needs and interests of the citizens he represents.

Joe is a highly effective and powerful spokesman for the defense of Social Security and
Medicare, with a genuine concern for people and the need to address the economic and
affordability issues that thousands of Mainers in the 2nd District are facing and
experiencing.

In short, what is happening in real time requires the election to Congress of state Sen. Joe
Baldacci. He has the knowledge, experience and the right stuff to represent the 2nd
District, with integrity, honesty and intelligence.
