Maine Celtics guard Ron Harper Jr. has been selected to participate in the Rising Stars event at NBA All-Star weekend on Feb. 13 in Las Vegas.
Harper, who is on a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics, has played in 16 games for Maine this season. He is averaging 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He has scored 30 or more points four times, including a 46-point performance in a win over Delaware on Nov. 21.
The Rising Stars is a mini-tournament with four teams and three games. Harper will compete with six other NBA G League players against teams of first- and second-year NBA players.
The event starts at 9 p.m. and will be broadcast on Peacock.
