I remember, not too long ago, a promise was made to drain the political swamp. It appears that this political quagmire is just more brackish. A very large “bully-frog” sits upon the largest lily pad.
When not snoozing, he croaks at his bumbling under-frogs that occupy leadership positions in his failing ecosystem like the Department of Defense, FBI and DOJ. What croakings are made at middle-American frogs struggling against rising health care costs and affordable living expenses?
Let’s not forget the questionable use of the pond’s National Guard and ICE. The bully-frog croaks about occupying Venezuela, Canada and Greenland. He destroyed part of the historical White Lily Pad. His unfounded croaked threats against judicial and congressional frog members burp forth without thought or basis. He mishandled classified pond documents. Our pond sickens with the thickening sediment of bully-frog corruption and chaos.
Truly there is hope that his lily pad may soon be occupied by one with political integrity, leadership skills and honesty. One that would energize the pond health, restoring its place in the global ecosystem to one of admiration, trust and support. Might this happen by judicial and congressional hands swooping 25th Amendment and/or impeachment nets?
Be aware that as we pass the present swamp at night and hear the bully-frog and his under frogs croaking, it may not be swamp gas we’re smelling, it may be just the odoriferous bully-frog attacking our democracy.
