James M. Holland Jr.
BRUNSWICK – James M. Holland Jr. “Jim”, 66, of Brunswick, passed away on Jan. 21, 2026, at The Mooring on Foreside, following a battle with frontotemporal dementia.
Born Jan. 20, 1960, and raised in Baldwinsville, N.Y., Jim was a graduate of the University of Maine and devoted his career to education as a science teacher and administrator. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved dogs, hunting, fishing, beekeeping, woodworking, exploring national parks, and building—most proudly the home he shared with his late wife of 35 years, Barbara Cronin.
Jim was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; and his parents Frances and James Holland Sr.
He is survived by his partner Barbara Lunsford; stepson, James Cronin (Theresa), stepdaughter, Rebecca Woodford (Christopher); sister, Kim (Lenny) Zimmer, brother, Lynn Holland; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. A service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
