Aaden Nadeau exploded for 38 points, 24 rebounds and five blocks as Forest Hills barreled past Temple, 66-44, in a Class S South boys basketball contest Thursday in Jackman.
Nadeau scored 28 of his points in the first half. He made 15 field goals and shot 8 of 9 at the free-throw line. Jaxson Desjardins also had a big game for the Tigers (10-6), racking up 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Timeo Lepaix led the Bereans (4-13) with 14 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
FOREST HILLS 51, TEMPLE ACADEMY 39: Janessa Moffitt poured in 25 points to pace the Tigers (12-4) past the Bereans (8-7) in Jackman.
Moffitt made 11 field goals, including three from 3-point range. Morgan Daigle added 11 points for Forest Hills.
Maddie Corey led Temple with 21 points.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 52, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 31: Kaitlyn Frost had another productive game for the Mustangs (7-8), scoring 23 points in a win over the Falcons (5-11) in Rumford.
Peyton McDonald added eight points to Monmouth’s victory.
Maddy Brown scored 20 points for Mountain Valley, which including going 8 for 11 at the free-throw line.
GIRLS HOCKEY
WINSLOW CO-OP 3, PORTLAND CO-OP 2: Taelyn Boothroyd scored in overtime, and Winslow/Gardiner/Messalonskee/Erskine/Mt. Blue/Lawrence/Cony/Waterville (6-10-2) ended its regular season with a victory over Portland/Deering/South Portland/Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete (8-10) at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland.
Molly Hambrick set up a goal by Kayleigh Turner and then tied the game in the third period as the Black Tigers erased a 2-0 defict.
Mikaela Furt and Keaton Mosunic scored for the Beacons, and Mya Clark made 19 saves. Emma Jean stopped 27 shots to earn the win.
