What is the “Home of the Brave” so afraid of? Any nation that borrows trillions of dollars to build weapons of war fears something or someone. Certainly with the USA’s stockpile of nuclear weapons, no other country would be brazen enough to “invade” the USA. No other nation would want to occupy a nation that loses a trillion dollars per year to debt and has a citizenry that is armed to the teeth!

So, why do we spend 25 to 30% of federal revenue on the Department of War? What benefits do the taxpayers gain with this expenditure? With $40 trillion of taxpayer debt and a collapsing Social Security program, one would think priorities would change.

The answer to these questions is quite simple: the USA prioritizes the profits of defense contractors (arms manufacturers) over the economic stability of its citizens. Our children and grandchildren will have to be the ones to severely cut this spending, because they simply cannot afford making these companies richer while paying the interest on the debt we left them.
