Asta Blauenfeldt scored a career-high 26 points, Adrianna Smith was two assists away from a triple-double, and the University of Maine women’s basketball team posted its largest points total against a Division I opponent since 2019 as it rolled to a 92-42 victory over UMass Lowell in an America East game Saturday in Orono.
Blauenfeldt made 6 of 11 3-point attempts and 11 of 17 shots from the field as she eclipsed her previous high of 24 points against Boston University last season.
Smith finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three steals. Lala Woods added 10 points as Maine improved to 11-11 overall and 6-3 in America East.
The Black Bears last scored more than 92 points against a Division I opponent when they defeated Binghamton 95-66 on Jan. 27, 2019. Maine also scored 102 against Brown earlier that season.
Jaini Edmonds scored 13 points for UMass Lowell (6-16, 0-9).
