The Adirondack Thunder scored three first-period goals and didn’t look back in a 6-3 win over the Maine Mariners on Sunday in Glens Falls, New York. The Thunder took two out of three games in the weekend series.
Tyson Fawcett scored two goals for the Thunder, including an empty-netter, while teammates Brannon McMannus, Tag Bertuzzi, Alex Campbell and Chase McLane also scored.
Jacob Hudson scored twice for the Mariners (20-13-5-2), and Andrew Nielsen added a power-play goal.
Jeremy Brodeur made 24 saves for Adirondack (22-13-4-1), as did Maine counterpart Luke Cavallin.
