Alice Wren
THORNDIKE – Alice Wren, 83, passed away on Jan, 27, 2026. She was born Nov. 26, 1942, the daughter of Mark and Thersea (Call) Myrick.
She graduated from Uni-Free High School, married William (Bil) Wren in September of 1962
She raised five children while bouncing back and forth between Army bases and Maine when Bil was stationed oversees. She enjoyed Artex Paint by number sets, puzzles, plastic canvas kits, as well as watching her favorite westerns, game shows, and crime dramas. She also enjoyed going to her weekly TOPS meetings and socializing with the members. She also made the best yeast rolls in the family.
She is survived by brothers Joe Myrick and his wife Joan, Stephen Myrick and his wife Cindy Myrick, Larry and his wife Donita, and sister-in-law Sally Fernald; sons Wendell, Mark and his wife Karen, David, Edward and his wife Elizabeth, daughter Rae Marie; as well as eight grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents Mark and Thersea; husband Bil; brothers Ralph and Ed, and her sister Dottie.
There will be a graveside service at Rogers Cemetery in Troy, Maine in the spring.
