The Boston Celtics signed center Amari Williams to a multi-year deal on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Williams, who was on a two-way deal, has appeared in 13 games for Boston. He played 21 games in the NBA G League for the Maine Celtics.

The 24-year-old averaged 15.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.8 blocks for Maine. He has made two starts with Boston and is averaging 1.7 points and 2.1 rebounds.

Also Thursday, the Celtics acquired guard John Tonje from the Jazz in exchange for forward Chris Boucher, a future second-round pick and cash considerations. They reportedly moved center Xavier Tillman and cash to Charlotte for a 2030 second-round pick, and sent Josh Minott to the Nets for cash consideration.
