Asta Blauenfeldt scored 21 points, Adrianna Smith added 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Maine ended Vermont’s 19-game home winning streak with a 55-46 women’s basketball victory Thursday afternoon in Burlington, Vermont.
Maine (12-11, 7-3 America East) fell behind by eight points in the first half but took the lead with a 12-0 run, highlighted by two 3-pointers from Blauenfeldt. She later put the Black Bears in front for good with a three-point play late in the third quarter.
Nikola Priede and Keira Hanson both scored 13 points for Vermont (19-6, 8-2).
