Reginald “Reggie” Marquis

RANDOLPH – Reginald “Reggie” Marquis, 77, of Windsor Street, passed away on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at his home.

Reggie was born in Saint-Gedeon, Quebec, Canada on Nov. 21, 1948, the son of the late Ovilda and Marie-Laure (Giroux) Marquis.

Reggie was the devoted husband of Sadie “Rita” Marquis and was known for his kindness, strong work ethic and quietly funny nature. He worked as a Drywall Contractor for most of his life and, after retiring, spent his time browsing and working at flea markets, which was a passion he enjoyed until the day he passed.

He loved woodworking, smelt fishing and cheering on the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots. His greatest love was the time he spent surrounded by his family, where he will be remembered as a great, Pepere to his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Guston Marquis, a sister, Carol Swearingen. Reggie is survived by his loving wife, Rita Marquis of Randolph; a son Rene and his wife Vanessa Marquis of Florida; grandchildren, Caleb and wife Taylor Marquis of Virginia, Nichole and her husband Josh van Soest of South Carolina; great grandchildren Arlo, Luma, Weston and Gracie; stepson, Stacey and his wife Pamela Tower of Vasselboro; grandchildren, Megan Tower of Brunswick, Amanda Tower of Augusta and Nathan and his wife Hailee Tower of Whitefield; a brother Gaeton and his wife Marie Marquis of Lewiston, a sister, Linda Hobart of West Forks; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visiting hours celebrating Reggie’s life will be held on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, ME. A Graveside service will be held in the spring.
