Wendall Moore Jr., Drew Peterson and Makhi Mitchell, all former members of the Maine Celtics, combined for 66 points Wednesday night to lead the Motor City Cruise to a 109-103 victory against the Celtics at the Portland Expo.
Moore had 30 points, Peterson added 20 and Mitchell had 16 for Motor City (11-10). Peterson was one rebound shy of a triple-double.
Amari Williams played 37 minutes and scored 29 points to lead Maine (11-11). Jon Tonje, recently acquired by Boston from Utah, added 21 points.
Maine trailed 85-71 through three quarters before pulling within four points in the final minute.
The teams will play again at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Expo.
