Ronald “Ronnie” Rouillard
AUGUSTA – Ronald “Ronnie” Rouillard, 86, passed away on Feb. 10, 2026 at the Togus VA Medical Center surrounded by family following an illness.
He was born in Augusta on March 26, 1939, a son of the late Gloria (Pepin) and William Rouillard. Ron was a graduate of Cony High School.
As a lifetime Augusta resident, Ron was well known and loved in his community. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany in the 1950s. He was a longtime employee of J.J. Nissen, eventually buying his own Pepperidge Farm franchise. He was also an avid salesman at local car dealerships. Ron’s work ethic kept him busy well past retirement doing various jobs in the Augusta area.
Ron was a member of the Augusta Elks Lodge. He also was a devoted member, employee, and past president of Le Club Calumet. He spent his free time at Natanis Golf Course, rain, shine, or even snow, or playing cribbage.
He was predeceased by, and will be reunited with his dearly missed daughter, Lynn; his four brothers, Roger, Richard, Robert, and Raymond and two sisters, Yvette and Jeanette.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Brenda; his son, Brian, and daughter-in-law, Juli. Ron’s favorite role in life was as “Grumpy” to his three grandchildren, Hannah and husband Mike, Ean, and Faith and husband Avery; as well as his great-grandson, Will; his sister, Beatrice; along with many cousins; nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends may attend a memorial service on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where officers and members of Le Club Calumet are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. to recite prayers for their departed member.
