Yarmouth/Freeport took the hard road to a state championship. First, the Clippers had to beat the Edward Little co-op, which had only lost once and was the unanimous No. 1 four straight weeks. Then they had to beat the three-time defending champion Cheverus co-op — and they had to go to overtime to do it.

But Yarmouth/Freeport did both, and that puts them atop the final Varsity Maine girls hockey poll of the 2025-26 season.
