Despite a season-high 27 points from Kendall Brown in his return from a back injury, the Maine Celtics suffered their fifth consecutive loss Thursday night, losing 127-120 to the Delaware Blue Coats in Wilmington, Delaware.
Only eight players dressed for the Celtics after two-way guard John Tonje signed a 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics earlier Thursday. In addition to Brown, who missed the previous five games, Maine got 24 points from Jalen Bridges and double-doubles from Hayden Gray (15 points, 10 assists, six rebounds) and Hason Ward (13 points, 11 rebounds). Aaron Scott had 17 points, eight rebounds and three steals, and Kameron Warrens scored 16 points.
MarJon Beauchamp led Delaware with 31 points.
