Adrianna Smith scored eight of her 35 points in the fourth quarter as the Maine rallied from a eight-point deficit to beat New Hampshire 67-61 in an America East women’s basketball game on Saturday in Orono.

Smith added 14 rebounds for the Black Bears to record her 15th double-double of the season.

Maine improves to 15-12 overall and 10-4 in conference play. New Hampshire falls to 8-19, 2-12.

The Wildcats took a 54-44 lead when Eva Dechent completed a 3-point lead with four seconds left in the third. Sarah Talon started Maine’s rally in the fourth with two free throws, and the Black Bears took the lead with 4:28 left on a pair of foul shots by Smith.

Talon added 13 points and six rebounds for Maine, while Lala Woods chipped in 10.

DeChent finished with 25 points for New Hampshire.
