America was greatest when it was called the “melting pot” of immigrants from many diverse countries and cultures. America is a country of immigrants. Even the Pilgrims were immigrants. Donald Trump’s racist agenda is harming and destroying the lives of multicolored Americans, legal immigrants and immigrants following the legal process to become legal American citizens. Immigrants are a large part of the workforce and America’s society.
America was greatest when the president was president for all Americans — not just white, rich and Republican. A president who wants to be a fascist dictator diminishes America’s greatness. The Constitution makes America great. A lawless president, who wants to change the Constitution, will take away our American people’s and immigrant rights. Trump’s evangelicals compared Trump to Cyrus. Even though Trump wants to put brown-skinned people in camps or prison, not give them freedom, like Cyrus gave the Jews.
One hundred fifty years before it happened, the prophet Isaiah predicted Cyrus, king of Persia, would conquer Babylon and free the Jews to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. Trump’s actions are destroying America’s democracy. Cyrus helped rebuild the Temple. Trump destroyed the West Wing of the White House. Trump plans to renovate the Kennedy Center.
