The Smithereens

The Smithereens plan to take the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday at Waterville Opera House, 1 Common St., Waterville.

The band has been delivering electrifying rock ‘n’ roll for more than four decades. Known for its high-energy no-holds-barred sound, The Smithereens has produced 17 albums and over 2,500 live performances. The band’s catalog includes hits such as “Blood and Roses,” “Only a Memory,” “Behind the Wall of Sleep,” and “A Girl Like You.”

Graham Ganter

Johnson Hall Opera House’s Homegrown series will feature Graham Ganter at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the Logan Stage, 280 Water St., Gardiner.

The Homegrown Series is a new series that showcases the work of local artists.

Ganter is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Portland. His style is varied, with influences coming from country, jazz and folk. His lyrics are often gritty and personal.

Pete Correale

Stop into the State Theatre to catch Pete Correale with Tim Elliot at 9 p.m. Saturday at 609 Congress St., Portland.

Correale is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor known for his laid-back storytelling and sharp observational humor.

A Long Island native and SUNY Fredonia graduate, he rose through the New York comedy scene before appearing on “The Tonight Show,” “Letterman” and “Comedy Central.” He’s released several specials, including “Let Me Tell Ya” and “For Pete’s Sake,” and co-hosts “The Pete & Sebastian Show” podcast with Sebastian Maniscalco.

Eclipse: A tribute to Pink Floyd plans to take the stage at 7:30 p.m. April 4 at Johnson Hall Opera House, 280 Water St., Gardiner.

The Portland-based band, formed in 2018 by Tom Faunce, utilizes Maine-based musicians to recreate the Pink Floyd concert experience.
