Organizers of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K road race announced Wednesday that registration for this year’s event will start April 14 for Cape Elizabeth residents and April 15 for most other participants.
The 28th edition of the race is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1.
Fifty bibs are available for those who plan to raise money for this year’s official race beneficiary, Dirigo Reads. Those runners can register starting March 16. Anyone who plans to raise money for a previous race beneficiary can register starting on March 30.
Legacy runners — those who have participated in all 27 previous B2B races — can register starting April 10.
Registration on each opening registration date begins at 7 a.m. Visit beach2beacon.org to register.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
