Waterville, Winslow host Special Olympics Maine 2026 Winter Games
Speed skating races were held at Colby College, Quarry Road Recreation Area hosted snowshoe and cross country competitions and opening ceremonies and a dance are planned at Winslow High School.

Special Olympics Maine 2026 Winter Games events started Wednesday in Waterville and Winslow and will wrap up Thursday in Auburn.
Waterville events included snowshoe and cross country races at Quarry Road Recreation Area and speed skating competitions at the Jack Kelley Rink, Colby College’s Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center, at Colby College. Opening ceremonies and dance took place at Winslow High School in Winslow.
Alpine ski races are set for Thursday at Lost Valley Ski Area in Auburn.
