Ace Flagg scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift Maine to a 70-59 win over Albany in an America East men’s basketball game on Thursday in Albany, New York.
Ryan Mabrey added 14 points for the Black Bears, who improved to 8-21 overall and 6-8 in the conference with their second straight win.
Maine jumped out to a 14-5 and made nine of its first 10 shots. Flagg of Newport scored 11 points in the first half, including three 3-pointers. He finished eight for nine from the floor.
The Black Bears scored 18 points off 16 turnovers.
Isaac Abidde scored 18 points and Amir Lindsey had 12 for Albany.
