Mainers overwhelmingly defeated the state version of the SAVE Act last November, by nearly 2 to 1 (64 to 36%). Sen. Susan Collins’ support of the SAVE Act is a direct repudiation of her constituents. This fact merited a single sentence in the Portland Press Herald. Where is the outrage?
Sen. Collins’ office is unresponsive, she hasn’t held a town hall in decades and venally votes in opposition to her constituents’ express desires. She wouldn’t get away with any of it if the Press Herald covered her objectively.
