The Maine Principals’ Association has postponed the three boys hockey tournament games scheduled for Tuesday because of a weather forecast that calls for snow in the evening.

The Class A semifinals and B South final will now be played on Wednesday at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.

The B South final, which features No. 2 York/Biddeford/Old Orchard Beach and top-seeded Gorham/Massabesic, will be played at 4 p.m.

In Class A, No. 3 Lewiston/Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse will face No. 2 Cheverus/Yarmouth at 6 p.m., followed by No. 5 Falmouth vs. No. 1 Thornton Academy at 8 p.m.

The Class B North final between No. 3 Hampden/Ellsworth/MDI/Nokomis and No. 1 Messalonskee will be played as originally scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Alfond Arena in Orono.

The forecast Tuesday calls for 3-6 inches of snow starting at 5 p.m.

The state championships are slated for Saturday at the Cross Insurance Arena with Class B at 1 p.m. and Class A and 3:30 p.m.
