Raymond L. Tardiff
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Raymond L. Tardiff, 85, died March 4, 2026 in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Mr. Tardiff was born on Oct. 3, 1940 in Augusta, Maine to Josephat and Albertine Tardiff. He later made his home in Palm Beach County, Fla. before moving to Fort Pierce, Fla.
Raymond graduated from St. Augustine Parochial School in Augusta, and from Cony High School, Class of 1958. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing cars at Unity Raceway and roller-skating. He later worked the string game at the carnival before settling down to raise his family. Raymond enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and, in retirement, loved traveling, playing Bingo, and sharing good meals with family and friends. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Augusta and he cherished a life-long friendship with George and Darlene Demos.
Survivors include his son, Raymond J. Tardiff of Fort Pierce, Fla., daughters Tammy Irizarry of Evans, Ga. and Pamela L. Castro of Ringgold, Va.; adopted daughter, Amanda J. Waite of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and grandson, Joshua R. Castro of Ringgold, Va.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Tardiff; brother, Donald Tardiff, sister, Liette Letendre, and brother-in-law, Clifford Letendre.
