Republicans are touting a proposal to make it more difficult to vote, and Sen. Susan Collins has jumped on to the corresponding bandwagon. I find such efforts by Sen. Collins indicate that, at this point, she cannot accurately read the tea leaves any more.
Maine voters, last November, rejected a similar ballot question by an almost 2-to-1 margin. Furthermore, there has never been any widespread voter fraud or misconduct in Maine.
