Elaine Marie Marin
FORT KENT – Elaine Marie Marin, 80, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at Lakewood Healthcare Center in Waterville. She was born on Dec. 13, 1945, in Eagle Lake, to Joseph and Eveline (Pelletier) Perrault. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, twelve of her siblings, and her beloved husband, Lucius (Lou) Marin, with whom she shared a devoted marriage and built a loving home while raising their three children. She is survived by her three loving children, Joseph Paul Marin and Rebecca, Leeann Patricia Marin, and Janna Lou Gregory and Brian, her beloved grandchildren, her sister, Doris Pelletier, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Elaine valued family above all and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, in-law, aunt, and friend. She had a warm and caring nature and was happiest when surrounded by family, sharing meals, stories, and laughter. In the last couple of years, Elaine received wonderful care and kindness from her medical team at Lakewood Healthcare Center, Inland Hospital, and Beacon Hospice, who became like family to her. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, cooking, boat rides, and spending time with family. Elaine also treasured the companionship of her cat, Rosie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may offer their condolences to the family on Monday before the Mass from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home. Spring interment will be held at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Wallagrass.

In lieu of flowers, Elaine wished that donations be made to a local Humane Society or animal shelter.
