Cony students have been preparing acts for the “Just Your Luck” themed 135th Chizzle Wizzle set to be staged at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at Cony Middle/High School, 60 Pierce Drive, Augusta.

Cony’s Chizzle Wizzle is longest-running student variety show in the U.S., never missing a year between 1892 and 2026, the school’s website states.

The event started in the 1890s when a group of students banded together to raise money for the high school football team. The students organized the Chizzle Wizzle Association, named after a popular school cheer: “Chizzle Wizzle, Chizzle Wizzle, Sis Boom Bah! Cony High, Cony High, Rah Rah Rah!”
