
Jeannette T. Lasso
LISBON – Jeannette T. Lasso, 77, of Lewiston, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Lamp Memory Care Assisted Living Center, with her family by her side. Her family remembers her as a devoted catholic with a rich prayer life.
Jeannette was born in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of Marcel Doyon and Cecile (Quirion) Doyon on Jan. 5, 1949. Jeannette was a graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn, class of 1967, and then earning her bachelor’s degree in education from University of Maine in Fort Kent. She later received her master’s degree in education from the University of Maine in Orono. Jeannette taught school for over three decades, finishing her teaching career in Winslow, Maine. She was a member of the Maine Teachers Association and Act Community Services. She enjoyed knitting, dancing, listening to live music, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Jeannette is survived by her loving husband, John Lasso; two sons, Reverend Aaron Damboise of Rumford, Chuck Damboise and wife Emily of North Carolina, a daughter, April Damboise of Augusta; four grandchildren, Atticus and Amiel Sookma, Hattie and Harley Damboise; a brother, Armand Doyon and wife Gloria of Augusta, a sister, Lucille Mercier and husband Armand Mercier Jr. of New Gloucester.
She is also survived by John’s three daughters, Anne, Beth and Christina; and John’s two grandchildren, James and Casey; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church, 41 Western Avenue, Augusta, Maine. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Bragdon – Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine 04259. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Augusta, Maine in the spring.
